This Shiraz pays homage to the original winery located in the historic town of Clare, which first opened as a Jam Factory in 1895. For over a century the Jam Shed played a crucial role in the development of the region through both jam and wine production and this quirky Shiraz has been inspired by great preserves of old.
Tasting Notes:
A bold, fruit forward medium bodied Shiraz. Rich dark berry and plum flavours with a delicious drying tannin and a hint of spice. Perfect with any meat dish.
Good to drink now, but it definitely has the legs to benefit from a few years cellaring.
NB. The Jam Shed Shiraz is a popular and staple shiraz produced yearly, with a great following. Most supermarkets will be selling the 2019 and 2020 vintages for about $15-$18 per bottle and these are great young vintages. But ALLBIDS has limited stock of the 2016 vintage that has been cellared for 5 years and are offering these cases with free delivery until sold out. This deal is limited and sold on a first in first served basis.
