The Ford Falcon XD Ghia ESP (European Sports Pack) is a performance meets luxury variant of the Ford Falcon produced by Ford Australia between 1979 and 1982, which was the second iteration of the third generation of Falcon models. The ESP package was introduced to cater to the demand for performance-oriented Falcons. It featured a range of upgrades over the standard XD Falcon including the option of the famed 5.8-litre 351ci V8, upgraded Bilstein suspension, disc brake upgrade, special interior upholstery, six pack dash, unique exterior pinstripe, alloy wheels and more. Today, well-maintained examples of the XD ESP are sought after by collectors and enthusiasts due to their relative rarity and historical significance in the Australian automotive landscape.
