The third generation Monaro was launched in 2001 after a 25-year break due to public pressure from the unveiling of the 1998 VT Coupe concept. HSV took on the Monaro as well but dropped the Monaro name and called it the "Coupe". The initial range offered two models being the entry GTO and the top-spec GTS until the GTS was dropped for the Coupe4. Like most HSV's and V8 Holden's, prices have soared over recent years as buyers and collectors try to secure the right car for their collection.

This GTO on offer is a 2003 V2II with the updated VZ style interior and a 260kw 5.7-litre LS1. The GTO was produced on the 04/07/2003 as build number #184 and was finished in the striking Yellow Devil with black diamond stitch trim. The odometer shows only 98,460ks with matching build number but unfortunately no service or logbooks are present. The GTO is presented in almost completely stock form except for an aftermarket stainless exhaust system which is fitted to the car, however the original exhaust is included. The vendor has stated that the battery, tail shaft bearing, brakes, and engine mounts have just been replaced with a service and wheel alignment carried out at the same time as well.

This example will come with the option of either a passed NSW Blueslip or a passed ACT Roadworthy Certificate for the successful buyer.
