The Mercedes-Benz SLK is a compact executive roadster that came in many variations and was produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1996 up until 2020. The R171 SLK was the second generation to be produced and featured improvements to its torsional strength and aerodynamic efficiency as well as a revised roof mechanism. The R171 also introduced the Airscarf system that integrates neck level heating in the the head rests of the car.
This particular R171 SLK certainly demands attention where ever it goes. The car has been well maintained and has traveled155,518ks since new with both remote keys and current NSW registration until 18/04/2024. The paint and exterior appears to be original and again well maintained with a few very minor marks as expected with age. Interior follows suit with the rest of the car and again presents extremely well for its age with no signs of wear and tear and only some very minor marks. Both the supercharged 1.8L 4 cylinder engine and 5-speed automatic transmission perform beautifully and features paddle shift off the back of the steering wheel. The hardtop convertible roof is completely automated without a need for manual locks or releases and is easily run off a button in the center console. Even with the roof folded down there is still boot space for small suitcases/bags and items for those weekends away.
