The VN SS in Atlas Grey has quickly become one of the nations favorite and most sought after SS combinations. The VN was produced for a short period between 1988 and 1991 as the famous and iconic Commodore with the SS being the most expensive and highest level trim option. The SS featured a 165kw 5.0-litre V8 engine with the option of a T5 manual gearbox or TH700 automatic transmission and the choice of only three colours being: Atlas Grey, Phoenix Red & Alpine White.

This VN SS was factory finished in the desirable Atlas Grey and has been fitted with a range of modifications. These include:

- Holden VU prefix 304 5-litre V8
- Built VS gearbox with stall converter
- Shaved engine bay with wire tuck
- Alloy strut top covers
- VT Brake upgrade with booster/master
- New brake lines and pads
- Alloy radiator with custom header tank
- ECU chipped
- Full exhaust system with HSV headers
- 20" Staggered Gold FR1 Simmons
- Lowered suspension
- HDT headlight covers and number plate covers
- Long range fuel tank
- Relocated battery to boot with window washer tank, battery isolator and main fuse

This is a well fitted example that with some minor tidying up would be a fantastic weekender and simple modern classic to enjoy.
