Arguably one of the most recognisable household name classics the Volkswagen Type 2 Commerical or more commonly known "Kombi" was introduced in Introduced in 1949 after being derived from the highly successful Type 1 Beetle. The Type 2 would originally be offered as a bus, utility or the most commonly seen van, however as years went on more and more derivatives would be offered by Volkswagen and coach building companies. Function was prioritised over form with the unitary body mounted to a ladder frame and the reliable and proven air cooled mechanical's used. 1967 would see the introduction of the T2 Kombi, an updated model with a simpler body styling, revised suspension with a raised ride height, a larger more powerful engine, and introduced a 12 volt electrical system over the previously used 6 volt.
This impeccably restored example of a Kombi Type 2 Microbus is an ideal example for a VW enthusiast. The Kombi indicates 5,125ks traveled and includes an array of paperwork and information booklets, as well an array of original spare parts. NSW registration is included and current until 19/09/2024 on early and original NSW plates making this a turn key and ready to enjoy example. Features include front and rear foglights, 14" alloy wheels, sidesteps, roof racks, towbar, stove top, ample drawers and storage, rear seats that fold flat and much more.
