Produced in 1995 and complied in Australia in 2001 this MG RV8 is an impressive example of the rare modern classic V8 roadster. Most of the 1,983 units produced were released to Japan making these a truly rare find in Australia. In 1980 the last MGB roadster would roll off the production line, and 12 years later the Austin-Rover company decided to revive this famous style to create the RV8. The RV8 would be modernised over the MGB with a wider and lower sleeker body, integrated body coloured bumpers, walnut dash, disc brake front end, revised suspension, and array of other updates most importantly the addition of a Rover V8 engine mated to a Rover 5-speed manual gearbox. This V8 in this small cars would push the RV8 0-100 in only 5.9 seconds, an impressive time even in today's standards.
This example on offer was brought into Australia in 2001 by RV8 Cars Australia Pty Ltd and is one of only 36 of the remaining units that were delivered to the UK
finished in Oxford Blue making this a rare specification indeed. This car presents very well inside and out and is a testament to the care that has gone into maintaining this very rare car and indicates a low 62,558ks traveled.
