Highlight Auction of the Week: A 2010 Avan Pop Top Caravan

If you're into caravans or campers, then this week's highlight should pique your interest: we're auctioning off a 2010 Leah Mk II Pop Top caravan, which is part of RV maker Avan's compact 400 series. The vehicle is in excellent condition mainly for two reasons:

1. It's had only one owner ever since it was new.
2. It saw minimal use.

As of this writing, the current bid for the camper is at $11,050, which is pretty cheap compared to the model's typical going rate of $16,000 for second-hand units.

Caravan features

Here are some of the Leak Mk II's standard features:

• Aluminium framed, double glazed and tinted windows.
• An anti-jam integrated blind and flyscreen system.
• One-piece flooring with no butt joints.
• An electric hot water system.
• An electric water pump.
• A 93-litre three-way fridge.
• A deep bowl sink with hot and cold mixing taps.
• A four-burner cooktop (with three gas burners and an electric one).
• A 12-volt range hood with light.
• A 95-litre fresh water tank.
• 2 x 4kg gas bottles and regulator.
• A 240-volt external power point.
• A hot-dipped galvanized chassis.
• Rear bumper.
• A spare wheel.

This caravan also comes with the following factory extras:

• An internal air conditioning unit.
• An LG microwave oven.
• Domestic rollout awning
• Inner spring mattresses
• Caravan height lift

Plus, there are also a number of owner-added extras:

• A Winegard Sensar TV antenna.
• A Reich caravan mover. The camper can be disconnected from its towing vehicle and driven remotely into place.
• RV roof air lifter system.
• Additional external storage access doors.
• Wall-mounted external drop-down shelf.
• External mounted door supports and lock.
• Rear poly tube for storage.
• A 12-volt battery which was replaced last year.
