Are You Ready To Get Fit? ALLBIDS is Holding a Gym Equipment Sale

Thursday, 13 September 2018 | Mike Leano

So you're ready to start (or continue) your fitness journey and have finally decided to set up your own home gym. You now have enough space and time for it, and you're fully committed. The problem? The price for each piece of equipment is quite staggering.

But good news - you can buy them used at a fraction of the price. We actually have a massive commercial gym equipment sale right now, which should be perfect for stocking up your home gym. The stuff featured in the auctions - which are in perfect condition and well maintained - are from professional/commercial gyms upgrading their gear.

We browsed through each piece and as of this writing, here are some of its biggest savings highlights we've seen so far (in no particular order):

Precor TRM 885 Treadmill

Looking to boost your cardio? Here's just what you need: a high-end Precor TRM 885 treadmill, which has a retail price of $11,900. It has all the bells and whistles:

  • A 15-inch LCD screen.
  • A system that absorbs high-impact movements.
  • Over 20 preset programs (e.g. aerobics, leg sculpting).

As of this writing, the bid on this specific item is $26. Expect it to reasonably go up as the auction approaches its closing date, but one thing is sure: you can get it at a much cheaper price.

StairMaster Stepmill 5 Stair Climber

For a more intense workout, go for a stair climber like the Stepmill 5. Using it will actually burn you more calories than with other exercise machines. The model costs about $8,500+ in retail, but this specific item's current bid is at $1.

Some of its features include:

  • Pre-installed workouts and fitness tests.
  • A revolving staircase with 6-inch high and 9-inch deep steps.
  • A heart rate monitor on its handlebars.

Again, this stair climber probably won't stay at this price for long, but if you want a terrific deal, you can't go wrong with this one.

Cybex 750T Legacy Treadmill

Here's another high-end treadmill: the Cybex 750T. It has a retail price of around $11,000 and comes with all the modern features like:

  • A detailed display of workout information (e.g. pace, calories burned, distance).
  • The Cybex Intelligent Suspension System for joints cushioning and injury prevention.
  • Pre-installed workouts and fitness tests.

The 750T is also durable like a tank and will likely last you a lifetime. If you think you've found the treadmill for you, keep an eye on it. The item's current bid is at $1.

Cybex 610A Arc Trainer

The Cybex 610A Arc Trainer is a stationary, non-impact exercise machine. It's like an elliptical trainer, except with more sophisticated features such as:

  • More optimal footplate angle and motion, making exercises more comfortable even during high-intensity workouts.
  • 101 resistance levels and 11 incline levels.
  • A range of displays like distance, calories, heart rate and strides per minute.

On retail, the 610A costs about $8,500. At ALLBIDS, its current bid is only $1.

Cybex 530R Cyclone Recumbent Bike

For high-intensity workouts without the strain on your joints and lower back, there's always the recumbent bike, and Cybex's 530R is an excellent place to start. Some of its features include:

  • Three fitness programs, three bike programs and three speed-controlled programs.
  • Several modes of operation including Speed-Controlled (isokinetic) and Bike Mode.
  • Heart rate monitoring through grips.

Its full retail price is over $5,000 but fortunately you won't have to spend that much. The 530R has a current bid of $1 - for now.

Precor UBK 885 Upright Bike

If you need something more like a road bike, this one should be more up your alley. At $5,890 in retail, the UBK 885 is a tad more expensive compared to the other exercise bikes featured here, but you can bid on it for upwards of $51 here in ALLBIDS.

For that price, you get:

  • A 15-inch touchscreen display.
  • More than 10 preset programs and 15 electronic live readouts.
  • Various riding positions (i.e. upright, cruising and road).

Precor EFX 885 Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer

This is space age exercising. The Precor EFX 885 Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer will set you back by about $10,900 in retail, but its current bid here is only at $21. It comes with a number of features including:

  • Use of CrossRamp technology, which provides ramp inclines from 10 to 35 degrees for targeting different muscle groups.
  • 20 resistance levels to customize your workouts.
  • A 15-inch LCD screen.

Precor AMT 885 Adaptive Motion Trainer

You don't have to spend $11,900 in retail to get yourself Precor's AMT 885, an adaptive motion trainer which combines a treadmill, elliptical machine and stair climber. All you have to do is join the auctions at ALLBIDS. And naturally, make the winning bid.

Here are some of the pros you get from this top-of-the-line AMT:

  • An adjustable stride height of 6.5 to 10 inches and an adjustable stride length of 0 to 36 inches.
  • A bright 15-inch LCD touchscreen.
  • More than 15 preset programs and 15 preset electronic live readouts.

Its only con is the hefty retail price, and you don't even have to deal with that. This particular AMT 885's current bid is at $1.

Star Trac V-Bike V2 Spin Cycle

The Star Trac V-Bike is another exercise cycle on offer in our massive gym equipment sale. It retails for "only" $1,900+ but can be purchased here for far less. As of this writing, the four models we're auctioning each has a current bid of $1. They all come with:

  • A micro-adjustable seat and handlebars.
  • A heavy-duty frame for withstanding intense workouts.
  • A comfy, ergonomic saddle.

Concept2 Model D Indoor Rower

If you want a low-intensity but full-body workout, go for an indoor rower. Why? Because rowing engages 86% of all muscles. A great place to start is the popular Concept2 Model D indoor rower, which is normally priced at $1,485.

At ALLBIDS, the current bid for the two items on offer is both at $80.

A few tips

But before you start bidding, here are some things you should mull over:

  • What are your fitness goals? If you're trying to gain muscle, you don't really need an exercise machine - even if you see a really cheap one. Likewise, if you want to boost your cardio, you'll need an exercise machine, not weights. Buy pieces that'll help you achieve those goals.
  • Establish your budget. You need to know how much you're willing to spend because the price for second-hand gym equipment isn't exactly standardised.
  • Buy only equipment you've used previously. Why? Because if you've never tried something, you might not like it and end up wasting your funds.
  • Inspect the gear before bidding. That way, you know what you're getting.
