Locals helping locals – our auction for Anglicare

Is there anything that makes you feel better as a person than the feeling you get when you give back? Whether you regularly donate to several charities, or occasionally give to a single cause meaningful to you, it’s the same ‘feel good’ result.
You could say we’re addicted to that feeling here at Allbids. Over the years we’ve helped raise millions of dollars for many local community charities. And most recently, our efforts have been directed at running an auction in support of Anglicare, NSW South, NSW West and ACT.
These guys are great at what they do – as one of Australia’s largest Christian care organisations, they reach out to thousands of people every year with emotional, social and physical support. And so there was no question we wanted to help them raise much needed funds. Locals helping the locals. No question about it, right?
Our auction, which ended on 7 July, saw some amazing items go up for grabs with everything from a hot air balloon flight with Balloon Aloft, to body treatment packages and more. And it was a success!
We’re pleased to announce that the Allbids auction for Anglicare helped around $10,900 which is going directly to Anglicare NSW South, NSW West and ACT. The money raised via our auction will support a number of different programs including those for youth services, aged care support, disability services and the homeless.
