ALLBIDS offer a range of additional services that complement our primary auction business. Data wiping and security measures are performed on the majority of consignments received. Over the past ten years we have developed strong processes to provide a flexible service to ensure the needs of all our vendors are met.
The cleansing of hard disks is something ALLBIDS takes very seriously. For many of our clients, any loss of data “into the wild” could end up as front page news in the worst possible way. Ensuring sensitive data is cleansed from a hard disk is a process that everyone who disposes of their IT equipment should be aware of, not just government agencies.
At ALLBIDS, data wiping is done to the highest level. On site, we usually run three wipes however, if a higher level of sanitisation is required, we are also capable of running seven wipes to ensure a level of security which is DSD-certified.
With the help of our partners we are also able to process top secret end-to-end supervised wipes with HDD destruction. After the hard drives are physically removed, they are placed in a specially designed hydraulic crusher to ensure the platters and hard drives are permanently unreadable. These destruction processes range from hard drives being broken down into 12mm pieces all the way down to 3mm pieces for the highest level of security.
