A true treasure. The J40 series is now becoming some of the most collectable 4x4 platforms in the world, with pristine versions fetching incredible money at auctions. The Landcruiser is now a household name for its incredible durability and off-road capability and will carry that name forever. 1978 saw the introduction of the new inline six-cylinder 3.6L diesel H engine, a powerful and durable improvement over the previous I4 diesel options.

This HJ45 is believed to be originally from the Bathurst area car before traveling to QLD and then being purchased and sympathetically restored here in Canberra. The rare factory Toyota tub has been completely restored top to bottom as if it were off the showroom floor and is an incredible compliment to the vintage of the car. The cab appears to be left alone for the most part with a new headliner and re-trimmed seats the only obvious signs of restoration. New vintage style tyres have been fitted to the original split rims, which were also completely de-scaled and taped at the same time. The car has some surface rust around as expected for these, with the only rust holes under the bonnet lid - refer images.

The photos speak for themselves, both inside and out this car has been looked after. This is an incredible local classic to be enjoyed straight away or a true collectors piece that has seen consistent price jumps in recent years.
